Description

Commissionaires is the leading supplier of special event Security Guards year round in Saskatoon.

This position requires Serve it Right Saskatchewan certification.  Use of force/handcuffing certification is an asset and will receive a premium.

The Position duties are:  Access control for events, security screening at all entrances, site patrols during the event, removing difficult and intoxicated individuals from the event, and assisting with emergency responses.

Hours of work available will vary based on event demand.

Must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and an extremely high level of multi-tasking ability. Other security related duties as required.

MUST BE A RESIDENT OF SASKATOON AND AREA.

ONLY THOSE WHO CURRENTLY POSSESS A VALID SASK. SECURITY GUARD LICENSE OR HAVE PASSED THE 40 HOUR PROVINCIAL SECURITY GUARD COURSE AND SERVE IT RIGHT SASKATCHEWAN CERTIFICATION ARE ELIGIBLE. USE OF FORCE/HANDCUFFING CERTIFICATION AN ASSET.

A valid Saskatchewan Class 5 license and a personal vehicle for transportation is required. Must be able to do shift work.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and in good physical condition, should be able to stand for extended periods of time, work both inside and outside year round, and display good decision making, problem solving and communication skills.
