The Housing Liaison provides a wide array of support to individuals who were formerly chronically homeless in a 24-hour staffed supportive housing program. The program is very flexible and provides an atmosphere of acceptance and non-judgemental approach when working with individuals.
Duties and responsibilities include assisting members in the skills of daily living, medication management & the facilitation of Managed Alcohol Program, cooking and meal preparation, & conducting groups in life skills & health teachings. The Housing Liaison must act as a positive role model to members & treat everyone with fairness, honesty & respect.
Housing Liaisons must be willing & able to provide First Aid/CPR. They must be able to take a proactive approach & provide appropriate responses to members disclosing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, hallucinations, delusions or other symptoms & challenging behaviors. The qualifications: a combination of relevant education & work experience in the human services field. Must possess a valid Saskatchewan drivers license.
