Job Summary:

Collaboration is key! Join our growing Indigenous relations team to advise on First Nations and Mtis world views and recommend approaches on SaskPower strategies like community investment, recruitment and retention, and energy affordability. Implement engagement activities to learn about the interests and perspectives of Nations and communities and integrate this feedback into power projects throughout Saskatchewan.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Degree or Diploma in Resource/Environmental Management, Community/Regional Planning, Public Relations, Communications, Business or Commerce, a Social Science, or other related equivalent AND/OR;
Five (5) years of related experience in policy development, community engagement, stakeholder relations, and/or program delivery
IAP2 training would be considered an asset
Team leader and member with the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships both internal and external to SaskPower
Results oriented thinker, with the ability to manage and provide advice regarding complex and confidential issues with sensitivity and professionalism
Ability to impact and influence others while holding people accountable
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work and manage in a changing environment
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, project management and decision making skills
Ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation and teamwork
Demonstrated skill in SaskPowers competencies
Must have a continuing record of professional development
