Job Description: This is a full time position within the Response to Violence program that provides services to individuals to enable them to stop their violence toward their intimate partner. The incumbent will co-facilitate groups, maintain appropriate partner contact, and provide short term crisis counseling, referral and advocacy as required in both the sex offender treatment program and the alternatives to violence area. The incumbent will actively contribute to program evaluation and development and assist with the day to day administration of the program. This position is located at City Hospital.

- An understanding of community-based programs
- High degree of comfort in dealing with suicidal ideation
- Knowledge in various mental disorders, etiology, treatment and intervention
- Knowledge in family violence issues; sexual offending and domestic violence
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals presenting with complex issues
- Ability to work with individuals from a variety of cultural & ethnic backgrounds
- Knowledge in various mental disorders, etiology, treatment and intervention
