Description

Chief Moosomin School is located on Moosomin First Nation, approximately 30 km north of North Battleford, SK. Chief Moosomin First Nation School is a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 school. Chief Moosomin School is hiring a High School Teacher to deliver Alternative Education programming and Functionally Integrated programming for students in grades 10-12. This is a Temporary Term Position to cover a Maternity Leave.

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities/Attributes:
    Plan, develop, and implement Alternative Education programming (18, 28, 38 courses)
    Plan, develop, and implement Functionally Integrated programming
    Create Individual Inclusion Plans (IIPs)
    Ability to modify and adapt programming to meet student needs
    Develop individualized programming for students with a variety of intensive needs
    Embed local First Nation culture into teaching practice

Qualifications
The successful candidate must have:
    Must hold a Bachelor of Education
    Possess a Teacher Professional A Certificate
    Experience working with First Nation education institutions and programs
    Knowledge of First Nation education issues, challenges, and delivery models
    Ability to use various computer software systems
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Ability to work independently
    Possess a valid Saskatchewan Drivers License and must be SGI approved for insurance purposes
    Provide a clean CPIC
    Possess a strong work ethic, and be dependable and reliable
