Description

The Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services Inc. is seeking a Full time Term Resource Worker. This position will be based out of YTCCFS Central Office located in the city of Yorkton. The successful candidate will provide a wide range of services under the direction of the Resource Supervisor. This position is responsible for the recruitment of resource support homes for the member First Nations of YTCCFS Inc., will comply with policies and procedures for the implementation of a comprehensive resource support home program and ensure there is an adequate pool of resource support home care resources; development of advertising to attract potential resource support homes from within the member First Nations; prioritize the approval of resource home support resources; on-going liaison with caregivers, and the requirements of the Child and Family Services Act of the Province of Saskatchewan. Provision of on-going educational needs of caregivers, i.e.; resource support home training and certification; respond to individual caregivers requests for specialized information for development needs of a child, and; provide consultation to the member First Nations in regards to being a caregiver. The Resource worker is also responsible for maintaining: the documentation on file for all children in care; referral process for off reserve members; and analyze information related to resource support home applications to determine suitability; attend meetings and provide monthly reports to the Resources Manager and other duties assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor of Indian Social Work or a Bachelor of Social Work or a Bachelor level degree in a directly related field. Training for the Trainer Diploma/certificate would be a definite asset.
