This position will be a substitute teacher for PAMC's English classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays' in delivering ESL instruction to newcomers.
- Will work closely with the permanent ESL Teacher and under the direction of the Executive Director/ Program Manager.
- Will assist newcomer students in their transition to a new environment and work culture in Canada, by helping them develop English Language skills and knowledge that will enhance their full participation in the workforce and community.

**Education and Experience:
-Must have a Certification in Teaching English as a Second Language, plus experience delivering instruction or programming to newcomer clients, and or willing to obtain one within a year of employment;
-A Bachelor of Education, Social Science Degree, or other University Degree or comparable combination of ESL experience and training would
also be appropriate
- Knowledge in and Able to navigate online platform, in case of Online Teaching Classes (if needed)
- Able to work with newcomer adults and good knowledge of Canadian Language Benchmark Levels
- Knowledge in facilitation of employment skills will be an asset
**Required Licenses and/or Certificates:
-CERTESL Certification, TESL or related certification
-Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) certification no criminal record (Includes Vulnerable Sector Search) must be done
within last three months.
