Responsibilities:
-Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Ammonia Crystallization, Oxygen and Utility plants
-The Chief Power Engineer or Power Engineer supervisor will assign other duties as required
-Strive for continuous improvement in operation efficiency and product quality
-Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
-Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and electronic communication to relay information regarding condition of plant
-Maintaining an accurate shift log
-Ability to work with both operations and maintenance departments
-Ability to operate in a leadership role when needed
-Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in higher than normal heat conditions (up to 40C)
-Must possess elite troubleshooting skills and strive for continuous improvement of process
Skills and Qualifications:
-Candidate must be a 4th Class Power Engineering student or enrolled in the Power Engineering Technology program. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the required coursework, but require steam time
-Must have completed Grade 12
-Preference will be given to qualified Residents of Saskatchewans North (RSN). Priority will be given to residents of the Athabasca Basin.
Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake
-14 day in/14 day out rotating schedule
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
