Description

Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for mechanical design and analysis for the Bethune mine site. The position supports the maintenance, production and wellfield departments to resolve technical issues, completes design for maintenance and minor capital projects, coordinates interfaces between internal resources and external technical bodies, and analyzes proposed changes according to a management of change process. -Mechanical or Industrial Engineer (B.Sc or M.Sc, with ability to register as P.Eng with APEGS) with 10 - 15 years of experience
-Experience in heavy industrial process setting is preferred
-Ensures effective relationship building and communication skills within the department
-Displays a reasoned perspective and brings resolution to issues while considering all areas of impact
-Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to proactively resolve issues that arise
-Able to work well in a team environment and as an individual
-Demonstrates working knowledge of Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations
-Experience with piping system and vessel design / inspection and support of a Risk Based Inspection Program
-Experience with machine design, process equipment and material handling workings

Employment is subject to successfully completing KSPC's pre-employment checks which may include criminal record check, education verification, functional fitness evaluation and drug and alcohol testing.
