Thomas Circle of Care Inc. has an exciting permanent opportunity for the Assistant House Leader at our home in Regina. The incumbent will be responsible to ensure the home and the children receive the proper care and attention and follow the plan set forth for the home to foster the holistic development of all children in the highest possible regard.
Job Profile:
Ensure the proper preparation of meals
Daily review, record, plan and coordinate programs and activities in the house
Handles intake process and identifies age-appropriate activities for the children
Ensure cleaning and maintenance of the premises as per schedule
Ensure proper and timely reporting
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality of staff and childrens information
Ensure all childrens medication is administered timely
Ensure childrens pick up and drop off for childrens daily activities
Attends OH&S Committee meetings and/or participates in OH&S related initiatives
Ensure the children have proper clothing and school supplies
Onboards new staff and ensures their understanding of roles/responsibilities
Facilitates and supports visits from family members
Handles injuries and/or takes to the doctor/emergency
Identifies behavioral issues and responds appropriately
Ensures the House Leader is kept apprised of any issues, trends or opportunities
Qualification / Certifications: -
Formal Education Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g ECE or Social Work Diploma) is considered an asset
CPR/First Aid is required
Training in behavioral and crisis management is an asset
Other Information: -
All successful candidates must have a positive report from a criminal record check under the vulnerable sector. Possession of a Class 5 driving license will be an asset
Experience working with children with varying behaviors will be an asset
