Thomas Circle of Care Inc. has an exciting permanent opportunity for the House Leader at our Regina home The incumbent will be responsible to ensure the home and the children receive the proper care and attention and follow the plan set forth for the home to foster the holistic development of all children in the highest possible regard.
Primary Duties:
Ensure the proper preparation of meals as per menu
Prepare a weekly/biweekly grocery list and menu
Effectively accounting and handling bank cards and petty cash.
Ensure cleaning and maintenance of the premises as per schedule.
Ensure the accuracy of daily logs
Purchase day-to-day needed for day-to-day operations of the home.
Attend/conduct monthly staff meetings and make staff shift schedules.
Ensure proper and timely reporting.
Coordinate and communicate with ministry workers for visits and relevant information sharing
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality of staff and childrens information.
Ensure all childrens medication is administered timely.
Ensure childrens pick up and drop off for childrens daily activities.
Ensure the children have proper clothing and school supplies.
Ensure all forms from school/daycare that need to be signed by a Ministry Worker.
Qualification / Certifications: -
Formal Education Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g Early Childhood Education or Social Work Diploma) is considered an asset.
CPR/First Aid is required.
Training in behavioral and crisis management is an asset.
Other Information: -
All successful candidates must have a positive report from a criminal record check under the vulnerable sector. Possession of a Class 5 driving license will be an asset.
Must have supervisory and or management experience.
Experience working with children with varying behaviors will be an asset.
