Under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources & Corporate Services, the Payroll and Benefits Officer is responsible for collecting, verifying and processing payroll information, determine pay and benefit entitlements for employees, maintain accurate payroll records and provides payroll information within the company. In addition will support overall administrative processes within Corporate Services and Human Resources.
EDUCATION
2 year post-secondary education in Business Administration/Accounting/Human Resources
Payroll Supervisor certification with the Canadian Payroll Association or other formal payroll certification
Certification with the Local Government Administration (LGA) would be considered an asset
EXPERIENCE
Three years of progressively responsible payroll experience
