POSITION:    MINOR HOCKEY COACH COORDINATOR
DEPARTMENT:    RECREATION
WAGE RANGE:    BASED ON QUALIFICATIONS
CLASSIFICATION:    PERMANENT, FULL-TIME

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Minor Hockey Coach Coordinator will coach and coordinate sports activities for the Kahkewistahaw First Nation.  They will develop positive relationships with the children and parents and promote a healthy lifestyle while ensuring athletes are in good mental and physical health.  They will coach teams, develop programs, supervise athletes, and adhere to the policies as per the Kahkewistahaw Sports & Recreation programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
1. Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and/ or certificate experience in Physical Education and/ or Coaching.
2. Advanced experience and knowledge of the Saskatchewan Minor Hockey Association.
3. Possess a CPR/First Aid certificate.
4. Organizational skills and communication to deal with students, staff and outside organizations.
5. Experience coordinating adaptive and inclusive recreation, day camps, and/or facility management is highly desirable.
6. Have experience and knowledge with computers and software programs.
7. Must have strong organizational skills and work independently with minimal supervision.
8. Must have strong written skills and oral communication skills.
9. Be punctual, dependable and reliable.
10. Possess the ability to maintain the management of confidential information and must be prepared to sign an Oath of Confidentiality.
