The Provincial Manager, Materials & Facilities Management is responsible for the Agencys materials and facilities management function, fixed assets, purchasing and procurement and preventative maintenance program. In addition, this position is responsible for implementing materials and facilities management systems, processes and procedures as well as overseeing all contracted facilities management services at the alternate site of the Director.
This position, in collaboration with the Director, Materials and Facilities Management, helps develop procurement and facilities management policies, as well as advises all levels of staff on purchasing and space planning matters at the alternate site of the Director. This position is responsible for the timely completion of assigned facilities projects.
This position works in co-operation and collaboration with other staff in the Agency (i.e. the Cancer Patient lodge managers, the nursing managers, etc.) who have specific on site responsibilities to provide support, leadership and direction as required to address ongoing materials and facilities requirements.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Commerce, Administration or other area related to the functions required by this position would be desirable.
A minimum of 3 years experience in facility, property and/or contract management with some experience in inventory management and / or purchasing and procurement.
A minimum of 1 year supervisory/management experience.
Significant experience and / or training in project management would be an asset.
