P. Machibroda Engineering Ltd. (PMEL) is a Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering Consulting firm based in Saskatoon, SK. We are seeking a reliable and friendly individual to join our team as a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant.
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the smooth running of the day-to-day office while providing support to other team members. The successful candidate will be a great communicator and able to prioritize client satisfaction.
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant is a vital position in our office, they are the first point of contact for many of our clients. The right candidate will be comfortable on the telephone and dealing with clients in person. Previous office experience in the construction industry would be an asset. We are looking for someone who is reliable and able to pick up things quickly.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answering and directing phone calls to team members
- Greeting clients with a personable manner
- Composing and answering emails for the company account
- Accepting payments in person and over the phone
- Maintaining organized client documents and files in storage
- Responding to inquiries and questions from clients and team members
- Handling mail
- Editing and creating PDF documents
- Completing a variety of data entry using Excel and SAP B1
- Ordering/organizing office supplies
Requirements for this position:
- Minimum 1 year experience in an administrative role or relevant training/education.
- Proficient in word processing software (including Office 365 and Adobe)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Excellent attitude and willingness to learn
- Proficient in English
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and with a small team
- Basic accounting knowledge
