Qualifications:
-Early Childhood Certification and/or a Social Work Degree with a demonstrated supervisory background. Equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
-Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and support in early childhood development, family and prenatal support delivered through curriculum-based activities.
-Must possess a valid drivers license, have access to a reliable vehicle, and obtain a $2,000,000.00 business liability insurance policy. Must be able to travel as required by the position.
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
-Provide one-on-one support/supervision for full-time home visitors in La Ronge and Pinehouse
-Work collaboratively as part of the home visiting team on planning, development, and implementation of the KidsFirst NORTH Home Visiting Program
-Provide client families with information and life skill development opportunities using a strength-based approach that promotes positive parent-child relationships, healthy growth and development, and enhanced family functioning
-Identify and support prenatal women and/or parents with children aged 0 3 years to develop strong support systems through linkages with other community services and resources
-Document all contact with families on a continual basis as well as the preparation of other documents and reports as required by KFN
