Description

In this role, youll be at the forefront of innovation and efficiency. Youll be involved with strategic planning and hands-on execution, as you assess and develop new ore zones to bring into production while embracing the safe and effective implementation of the SABRE mining technique.  Youll navigate immediate and long-term challenges to achieve production targets, while collaborating with consulting engineers to deliver innovative designs. Your knowledge of budgeting and forecasting will empower the team to stay on track, ensuring each project meets OCIs highest standards. If this position excites you, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:
Mining:
-Assist with operating and capital budgets, forecasting, execution, and reporting
-Recommend and implement engineering processes and procedures

Project Management:
-Support McClean Lake Mining (MLM) in safely achieving production targets, while addressing short and long-term challenges
-Guide consulting engineering and project delivery services in the development and execution of engineered designs and projects
-Assist in managing project delivery, including costs, schedules ,quality, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs)
-Administer management of change (MOC) to facility changes

Plan and Integrate:
-Help to develop the annual budget for sustaining and project capital

Skills and Qualifications:
-A university degree in Engineering; specializing in mining. Eligible to registered as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan with APEGS
-3-5+ years of progressive mine engineering and project delivery experience
-Microsoft Project experience

Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake
-Fly-in/Fly-out operation with on-premise camp facilities
-14 day in/ 14 day out schedule
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
-Able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions
