THE POSITION
BATC is looking for an IRS Manager, who is responsible for helping oversee the successful
completion of projects and events. Under the direction of the Director of Health, the IRS Manager is responsible for establishing programs for residential
school survivors that support their journey. This position will coordinate programs on the history
and intergenerational impact of the Indian Residential Schools. This is a term position that will be
based out of the BATC Health Services in North Battleford.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise the research team and research.
Supervise the IRS Administration.
Maintain research and documents confidential and organized.
Analyzing and interpreting information gathered during research.
Organize community research interviews in 11 First Nations.
Recording findings by taking written notes and using appropriate software.
Maintaining and protecting electronic databases.
Assisting management with budgets and time schedules.
Anticipating research issues and promptly resolving them.
Following a strict code of ethics and always protecting all confidential information.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
A deep understanding of the impact Indian residential schools has had on the community.
A desire to learn and help others in their journey of healing.
A deep understanding of the communitys history, culture and current needs.
Experience in organizing programs and activities for large groups.
Must be willing to work flexible hours to attend programs during the evening/weekends.
Excellent communication and public speaking skills are required.
Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as be self-motivated and reliable.
Diligence and exceptional written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
Knowledge and fluency of the Cree language is an asset.
Must have a drivers license and a reliable vehicle.
A criminal records check may not be required.
