Description

The Kindersley Housing Authority (KHA) has an opportunity for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team.  If you are ambitious, results focused, a self-starter, and skilled in building and property maintenance, we would love to hear from you!

This position is responsible to:
-Ensure housing units are rent-ready by undertaking minor repairs, cleaning duties and any prep work required
-Assist with garbage removal and janitorial duties
-Groundskeeping, including grass cutting and snow removal
-Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks and inventory controls

Responsibilities and Requirements:
-Moderate knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, electrical, septic services and boiler operations
-Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants
-Ensure day to day operations are handled promptly and effectively, and at a high standard
-Ability to maintain confidentiality is required

Qualifications:
-Grade 12 or equivalent, basic computer skills, some post-secondary in business or technical/trade training plus 5 years experience in a maintenance and repair environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
-Self-motivated with the ability to handle stress
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-Ability to participate in a regular, continuous on-call program for emergencies, including evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
-A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
