Description

As an integral part of The Odessa Co-op team, the Member Services Coordinator will work closely with the Co-ops Board of Directors, management, employees, and community partners, to foster a robust member engagement process and to administer vibrant member-centric services that flow through the co-operatives entire membership life cycle.

This responsibility includes:

Provision of information and assistance, upon request, for new and existing Co-op members; creation and maintenance of the Co-op's digital and physical membership records, as per policy and legal requirements; provision of administrative support and reports for management and the Board related to membership matters; provision of administrative support for the Co-op's credit and equity programs, including statement processing and records maintenance; collaborate with the Co-op's Retail Administrator to process and query account transactions, and ensure accuracy of accounts, via the Point of Sale system and online accounting portals; perform some general back-up stock and sales tasks in the Co-op's retail areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Odessa Co-op needs a reliable individual with minimum 6 months accounting experience in a business environment who 1) is accurate and comfortable when using standard and emerging digital technologies (email, online ordering web platforms, MS Excel and Word), 2) is interested in working for a community-centred co-operative that strives to exceed members' expectations , 3) is ambitious, team-oriented and who is passionate about serving people, 4) is committed to a safe working environment 5) is physically fit and able to regularly lift, pull, push items over 10 lbs, and 6) can work with minimal supervision.

Candidates with prior Co-op or retail experience are preferred.

Candidates with Class 5 Driver's License are preferred.

THIS POSITION IS A PART-TIME 0.6 FTE POSITION, MAINLY MON.-FRI.
