Description

The School Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Kihiw Waciston School. This role involves handling a variety of clerical tasks, managing communication, and providing organizational assistance to the school principal, ensuring all administrative functions are handled efficiently.
Roles & Responsibilities:
    Greet and assist visitors, parents, and students, providing information and directing them to the appropriate personnel;
    Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence (phone calls, emails, and mail) efficiently, ensuring timely responses and proper routing;
    Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with school policies and privacy regulations;
    Manage and maintain accurate student records, including enrollment, attendance, and grade reporting, utilizing My School Sask;
    Prepare and distribute student progress reports, school newsletters, and other academic documentation;
    Assist in the coordination of school registrations, student admissions, and tracking of required forms or documents;
    Organize and maintain school documents, ensuring all files are up-to-date and readily accessible;
    Support the principal by coordinating school and external meetings, managing calendars, and scheduling appointments;
    Assist with the organization and logistics of school events, parent-teacher conferences, and workshops, including the preparation of materials and managing attendance lists;
    Support management of student transportation logistics, including communication with drivers and maintaining accurate transportation records;
    Monitor and maintain inventory of office and school supplies, placing orders as needed;
    Assist in coordinating substitute teachers, ensuring availability and maintaining an updated substitute list;
