Description

The North Central Family Centre is looking to hire a dedicated Community Outreach Coordinator that brings together various community partners and stakeholders to improve access to services and supports and reduce barriers individuals currently face when trying to access services and programs for substance use, mental health, sexual health, physical health and culturally appropriate approached to healing and wellness. This role involves community outreach, education, and collaboration with various stakeholders to promote health and safety.  

Job duties include but not limited to:
-Design and implement hard reduction programs and initiatives tailored to the needs of the community
-Develop educational materials and resources to promote harm reduction strategies
-Engage with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to raise awareness about harm reduction
-Conduct outreach activities to connect with individuals at risk and provide them with resources and support
-Provide training and workshops for volunteers, and community members on harm reduction practices and principles.  
-Educate individuals on various topics regarding health and safety.
-Collect and analyze data related to program effectiveness and community needs.
-Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders and funders.
-Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, social services, and law enforcement to create a comprehensive support network for individuals at risk.  
-Manage program budgets and resources effectively to ensure sustainability and impact.
-35 hours/week, Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm, hours may be flexible or vary
