Description

MGBHLM is seeking a Full Time Heavy Equipment Operator. In this role, the operator will be required to work within the highest level of work lays health and safety including compliance to work-safe regulations as well as education of the community and seasonal laborers.

Duties:
Provide routine maintenance servicing for the equipment, if applicable, following guidelines in the equipment manual(s); maintain service records for all equipment.
The Operator is self-directed and self-motivated and has a high degree of decision making expected in this position.
Many of these decisions will necessarily need to be made on the spot using common sense and collaboration.
Each task that is undertaken is expected to be performed on time and with it in project budget.
Maintain all equipment.
Keep daily logs of equipment activities.
Operate under safe work procedures.
Compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Requirements
The Operator must possess a good understanding of general maintenance and construction of road construction and maintenance of equipment
Prioritize the workload to support the community needs
Co-ordinate multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications:
A Heavy Equipment Operator Certification.
A valid drivers license
The ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance
able to communicate both verbally and in written format clearly
be self-motivated and able to work alone
be safety conscious
Manage time effectively
Organize multiple tasks and projects
React to critical situations in a timely manner
Manage conflict in situations
