MGBHLM First Nation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to join our team and support our Human Resources recruitment, onboarding, performance management and HR administration. RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks;
-Coordinate new employee onboarding activities, including paperwork, orientation sessions, and training arrangements;
-Support the development and implementation of recruitment and onboarding best practices to attract and retain top talent;
-Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulations;
-Prepare HR-related documents, such as employment contracts, offer letters, and HR policies and procedures;
-Assist with benefits administration, and other HR administrative tasks as needed.
-Update and track absences from work such as sick days, leave of absences, vacation days and overtime accruals;
-Answer employees questions and provide requested information;
-Liaise with external partners, Band members and Band Representatives (School, Daycare, Public Works Shop and Band Members;
-Perform other related duties as required by the HR Manager.
