Description

MGBHLM First Nation is looking for a Full-Time Receptionist who would work on behalf of the MGBHLM Staff, Community and Membership through the support of all departments' administrative requirements, maintaining corporate files, and ensuring the Manager of Administration has accurate and up-to-date information for their decision-making.

        RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer incoming calls & directing them to the proper individual;
Maintain an accurate contact database for all membership and staff;
Direct any visitors or meeting attendees to the appropriate staff;
Ensure knowledge of all staff's whereabouts on a day-to-day basis;
Receive, record and process incoming and outgoing mail for the staff;
Receive, record, and distribute incoming faxes for staff, members & community members;
Email newsletter to requesting members monthly;
Order office and cleaning supplies as required;
Unlock the Band Office five minutes prior to office opening, and lock up the office upon leaving at office closing time;
Ensure that lights, equipment, etc. are turned off before leaving the office each night;
Receive clients at the reception counter, answer routine inquiries, and make appointments when required.
Keep the Bulletin Board up to date; post relevant material, and remove information which is out of date;
Ensure that all Band staff members who will be away from the office inform you and of their itinerary and record same on a white board or some similar system;
(A board should list all employees, whether they are in or out, and if they are out, when they are expected to return.)
Assist duties such as typing word processing and filing, etc., as time permits;
Conduct any other relevant activities as requested by the Manager of Administration.

     Qualifications:
Grade 12
Excellent time management and organizational skills are required;
