Required Skills/Training:
Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent, from a recognized institution;
Secretarial/office education training at a recognized institution, or related experience would be an asset;
A minimum of five (5) years office or administrative experience would be considered an asset;
Excellent written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills;
Demonstrated knowledge of methods, procedures and equipment used in maintaining an office such as a multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner, computer and printer;
Ability to post materials to and update websites;
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in accounting and general banking skills;
Proficiency in the operation of computers, word processing applications such as Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Publisher, and additional software comparable to those currently used in the school division;
Familiarity with the Google Workspace platform and related software used in the division would be considered an asset;
Proficiency in and/or initiative/ability to learn student data systems;
Possess keyboarding skills with which to produce accurate work in a time efficient manner;
Ability to work with personal and sensitive information and honor confidentiality;
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team player;
First Aid/CPR would be considered an asset, but not a requirement;
Ability and willingness to learn to manage the division archives, record retention and disposal tasks; and
Ability to organize events and work with vendors.
