Description

MGBHLM Economic Development Ltd. is seeking a Lands Coordinator. The Lands Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating planning on reserve and leading the further development and implementation of laws, polices and procedures related to community lands management and administration.  The successful candidate will act as the contact person for on-reserve lands inquiries and requests. Lands Coordinator will be under the general supervision of the Lands Manager.
Requirements
    Awareness of community lands management issues affecting First Nations
    General knowledge of GIS and database management
    General knowledge of community practices, customs, and traditions
    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    Strong team player and ability to work with minimal supervision
    Demonstrated research and analytical skills
    Strong communication skills
    Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
    The ability to speak Cree would be an asset
    Experience working with First Nations preferred
    Must be willing to travel
    Willingness to work outside normal work hours as required.
    Must provide a satisfactory CPIC or proof of application.
    Valid class drivers license is required.

Qualifications
    Post-secondary education or certificate program, in community planning, lands management or related disciplines
    At least one year experience in a similar role, preferred, or an equivalent combination of skills, knowledge
    experience or willing to obtain training within 6-months of employment
