Position Overview:
As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our road construction equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostic and Repair: Perform thorough diagnostics on heavy construction equipment and vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues. Conduct repairs and replacements as needed to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.

Routine Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and inspections to prevent equipment breakdowns and extend the lifespan of machinery.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulations. Promote a safe working environment by following best practices and safety protocols.

-Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities. Document parts used, labor hours, and other relevant information.

-Work closely with other mechanics, operators, and project managers to coordinate equipment needs and address any mechanical issues that may arise on-site.

Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, preferably in road construction or a related field.
-In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and heavy equipment components.
-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
-Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in equipment maintenance.
-Certification in heavy equipment repair or a related trade is preferred.
-Valid drivers license
