WE COVER YOUR TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION & MEALS WHEN AT SITE!
We are looking to hire third cooks for one of our remote northern Saskatchewan mining or exploration sites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of food for menu preparation.
- Prepare food to meet quality standards.
- Carry out directives of Chef or designate as requested.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained.
- Maintain an orderly and clean environment.
- Ensure all food items remain stocked.
- Set up front line for meal service as required.
- Serve the meal lines during meal service periods
- Tear down line, put away food, including cleaning and refilling steam table as needed.
- Areas of responsibility may include breakfast, protein prep, salad prep, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized professional cooking course would be considered an asset.
- 1 year cooking experience in a busy kitchen environment.
- A valid food safe certificate is an asset but not required (we provide training & certification).
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Strong team player who works well with others.
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties.
- Shift work is required; work schedules are 2 weeks in-and-out rotations.
- MUST be able to pass a drug & alcohol test.
