Description

The Living Skies Housing Authority is currently hiring a Remediation Team Member to fill a position with the Building Remediation Team working out of the Saskatoon office. If you are an ambitious and hard-working person that can work primarily in crawlspaces, wed love to hear from you!

What you will do:
work directly with the Remediation Team Supervisor
assist in the provision of safe, on-site remediation of residential buildings
assist with truck, equipment, and tool maintenance
assist with inventory control and getting supplies ready for jobs
lead a safe workplace through Occupational Health & Safety and WHMIS regulations
work independently, and in a team environment
demonstrate time management, initiative, reliability, integrity, and good judgment
promote and ensure a positive team image is maintained

What the working conditions are:
requires bending, crawling, stooping, climbing, lifting, reaching, kneeling, repetitive movements, and work in confined (crawl) spaces
risk of exposure to toxic substances (individuals with suppressed immune systems, asthma, or mold allergies may be at further risk and are not recommended for this position)
extensive travel throughout the province with frequent overnight stays

What you will need:
General knowledge of building carpentry, preferably supported by strong mechanical skills, achieved through successful completion of at least 2 years at a technical/trade institute, and up to 3 years of related general contract style activities. A combination of directly related skills, education, and experience will be considered.
A valid drivers license and a clean drivers abstract.
