Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To provide a safe, positive workplace for participants and co-workers.
To act as a role model, following Codes of Ethics and Conduct and other policies
To act responsibly - know and carry out procedures for emergency situations for individuals as well as the group, as a whole
To look for, encourage, and implement activity and program options for participants
To assist in the physical and personal care of the employee, including toileting, feeding, and dispensing medications
To promote an environment conducive to the optimum health and well-being of program participants
2. To assist participants in personal growth and skill acquisition
To teach and train participants in the use of various vocational, avocational, communication, coping, and social skills
To use diverse techniques to teach new skills
To teach and train participants in the use of various vocational, avocational, communication, coping, and social skills
To use diverse techniques to teach new skills
3. To work as a team member to enhance the successful operations of KIN Enterprises, Inc.
To supervise diverse activities, outings, lunch, coffee breaks
To carry out and supervise assigned programs and jobs
To provide consistency in the daily programming and operations
Take turns in the various duties assigned i.e. toiletting, kitchen duties
Be familiar with OH&S regulations
Be familiar with policies governing KIN Enterprises
To assist and mentor new staff
To participate with professional development as opportunities are presented
Maintain good public relations
Other duties as assigned.
