Under the supervision of the Emergency After Hour On-Call Manager and On-Call Supervisor, the Emergency After Hour On-Call Intake Workers will; investigate child abuse/neglect referrals; assess risk for child safety; determine involvement and safety plans for families in crisis. You will also be required to travel, work flexible hours, ability to do some lifting and transport families. Must have knowledge of: FSIN Indian Child and Family Support Act and Saskatchewan Child Welfare Act. Cree, Nakota and Saulteaux Culture and the political and social objectives of the YTCCFS INC. member first nations;poverty and other socio-economic issues and how they impact people; human growth and development and the impact of influencing factors; systemic barriers that affect clients and communities; multicultural beliefs, values and perspectives with particular emphasis on First Nations people; and a range of human behavioural theories and intervention strategies. Working after business hours 4:30pm-8:30pm on-call basis, on a rotating schedule 1 week/mth min. Training is provided.
