Description

Primary Purpose:  Provide leadership in supporting prospective and current students, College of Nursing faculty and staff in the delivery of the BSN program across the province.
Nature of Work: Can be located at the Prince Albert or Saskatoon campuses and reports to the Manager, Academic Advising and Support Services.  Part of a provincial advising team to support students academic progress, clinical experiences, and overall well-being. Expert on clinical nursing experiences and clinical education to  influence  students progress.  Has exceptional communication , is driven by constant deadlines; continuous change and shifting priorities.  Some travel is required.  
Typical Duties or Accountabilities:
    Develops, interprets and maintains BSN requirements, academic regulations, graduation standards, recruitment and retention practices, academic policies, and degree requirements.
    Ensures that advising practices encourage and empower BSN students to assume responsibility for their education around the province while building relationships with Teaching, Learning and Student Experience (TLSE) units.
    Supports  faculty with issues related to student needs and supports committees
    Education:  BSN registered nurse; however, Masters degree in nursing preferred
Experience: Five years of directly related experience in a post-secondary environment
Skills: Extensive knowledge of BSN education is required.   Solution oriented, self-motivated,  creative, and  innovative with expertise in project management and Microsoft Office suite.  Works independently and as a part of a team; has strong interpersonal and communication skills. Interact with others  respectfully, with tact, discretion, and confidentiality and cultural awareness. A valid drivers license is required.
