We are looking for a compassionate, caring, patient person, with an upbeat attitude and strong interpersonal skills. The Home Health Aide will apply knowledge-based practices independently while working in collaboration with the client(s) and other home care professionals, to promote independent living of our clients. About the facility: LLRIBHS promotes health in our communities for the wellbeing of all members. We provide accessible, high quality health services and programs. Together with others, we work to build capacity and educate as we address both acute needs and determinants of health.
About the Position: The successful candidate will assist and provide services in the Home and Community Care Program for LLRIB community members. You will be working in the homes of our clients, providing necessary home management, personal care & respite assistance.
Duties:
Apply a knowledge-based Home Health Aide practice independently and in collaboration with the client and other health care professionals to promote independent living of clients;
Must be able to provide home management, personal care and respite assistance to clients;
Use skills and interventions to meet physical, social/cultural, emotional and spiritual needs of the client;
Working 5 Days per week / 7.5 hours per day, Overtime maybe required;
Travel time is included during working hours,  
Qualifications:
Minimum grade 12 or equivalent; Home Health Aide or Continuing Care Aide certificate preferred; Combination of education and Experience may be considered;
Previous home care or acute care experience is an asset;
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with the home care team;
Must be self-directed and demonstrate organizational skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to speak or understand Cree is an asset;
First Aid/CPR Training
