Description

We are currently accepting applications for an Intermediate/Senior Industrial Automation Technician to join our team.  This position will require the applicant to install, service, maintain, and repair Electrical systenms and Automated Production/Process Equipment.

The successful candidate will be a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician.
Candidates possessing additional certifications listed below will be given preferential consideration.

    Industrial Electronic Technician/Technology
    Electronic Systems Engineering Technology
    Industrial Instrument Mechanic
    Instrumentation Engineering Technology
    Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)


5 years of relevant experience is required. Similar or equivalent qualifications may be considered.


Preference will be give to applicants who also have experience with;
    PLC/HMI programming (Allen Bradley preferred)
    Feedback and control devices such as RTDs, thermocouples, I2P, encoders, etc.
    Robot Programming and Integration (ABB preferred)
    Electrical/Electronic troubleshooting
    CNC Equipment
    Servo/Stepper motor systems
    Machine Safeguarding and Safety Devices
    Some knowledge of mechanical systems as they pertain to automated machines
    Knowledge of pneumatic devices
    System layout, design, detailing and documentation
    AutoCAD, MS Office


Job Tasks
    Installation, Diagnosis and Repair of complex automated production equipment
    Assistance with Bid/Quote Preparation, Technical Sales
    Procurement of Components and Materials for required tasks
    Quality Control
    System Commissioning
    Detailed Documentation


Other Requirements;
    Have own basic hand tools and Multimeter
    CSA Hard-toed Safety boots
    Valid Class 5 Drivers License
    Excellent workmanship and attention to detail
    Time management and organizational skills
