We have 6 fully inclusive ELCC centres that requires full time 1-1 trained early childhood educators. We follow Play and Exploration developed by the Ministry of Ed., Montessori, and ECERS 3. We embrace the integration of all abilities, special or enriched. Qualifications: demonstrated knowledge and understanding of age-appropriate development of the whole child, demonstrated ability to work well within a team and on own, communicate effectively, collaborate and share ideas. Preference will be given to applicants with an ECE or inclusion certificate or diploma, or equivalency of ECE Level I, II, or III. All interested may apply that have a child-related background such as SLPA, OTA, PTA, Social Workers, Teachers, ECEs, Montessori teachers, EAs, etc. Related fields will be evaluated by the Ministry of Education and wages will be based on that accreditation and related previous experience. Applicants without credentials will be considered if an education plan is developed and tuition funding may be available. A criminal record check, Safe Places Training and First Aid/CPR C is required before being hired. Food safe must be acquired at the applicant's cost and time and preferred prior to starting. Responsibilities vary according to the needs of the child but may include: Following a PPP, creating and implementing developmentally appropriate programs, observing and documenting children's daily experiences and assisting in maintaining portfolios, developing meaningful relationships with children and families through daily contact and interactions, communicating with co-workers, centre managers, and families and assisting in light housekeeping duties. A full benefits plan is offered for full-time employees. The shift is pending the contract hours of the children in our care. We are open 6:30-6:30 M-Fr, closed on weekends and stats.
