Qualifications
Complete Grade 12, post secondary preferred, relevant education or experience will be considered;
Office Administration experience;
Demonstrated knowledge of Computer programs;
Able to maintain accurate records and documentation;
Experience supporting Indigenous youth, community and an understanding of Indigenous ways of Knowing, Being, Learning and Doing;
Knowledge and understanding of Jordans Principle;
An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and community relations skills;
A Valid class 5 drivers licence, CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with and support the Service Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator
Serve as the contact person in the George Gordon First Nation community for social requests;
Support families to access available supports in the community;
Verify eligibility of the child prior to approving funds;
Confirm that the recommendation letter is appropriate for the requested service or support and in the best interests of the child;
Document case files;
Maintain records and invoices for audit purposes;
Other related duties as assigned.
