QUALIFICATIONS:
Business administration diploma would be an asset, a Grade 12 Diploma or GED and previous client case worker or employment counselling experience;
Strong knowledge of administrative and financial regulations and procedures;
Experience using various computer programs including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and data base software;
Excellent writing skills with the ability to write and format moderately complex correspondence;
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, client service skills and professionalism;
Superior time management, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and coordinating skills;
Public speaking abilities to effectively facilitate presentations to large groups for information sessions, resume preparation, and other related employment engagement activities.
Knowledge of First Nations values, culture, traditions, and governance.
Possess valid driver license and reliable vehicle.
Must provide a clear CPIC.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take, transcribe, and distribute minutes of Committee meetings;
Input client data in the Training Assessment System (TAS);
Prepare correspondence, documents, reports, necessary forms, statistic reports, excel documents of activity expenditures;
File management;
Employment Counsellor & Client case management duties;
Greet and welcome visitors or clients as soon as they arrive at the office.
Answer, screen and forward incoming calls.
Direct visitors or refer inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments within the organization.
