Description

The Specialist, Railcar Maintenance oversees all mechanical aspects of KSPC's covered hopper railcar fleet, ensuring the highest safety and operational standards are met. This role collaborates closely with the Logistics & Transportation department, Operations and both onsite and offsite railcar repair facilities to manage business needs and optimize repair and regulatory requirements. The Specialist, Railcar Maintenance ensures the fleet's safety, compliance and availability to execute on our logistics and transportation strategy. -2 year diploma, preferably in program specialization of logistics/supply chain management, transportation management, or business administration
-Minimum of 8 years of experience in rail, fleet management or a technical capacity
-Existing knowledge of covered hopper car regulations
-Previous railcar maintenance knowledge is a pre-requisite
-Standards compliance and rail car regulatory framework knowledge will be considered an asset
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-Analytical skills, with strength in excel (pivot tables, graphs, charts) and data management
-SAP experience preferred

Employment is subject to successfully completing KSPC's pre-employment checks which may include criminal record check, education verification, functional fitness evaluation and drug and alcohol testing.
