Description

The File Hills QuAppelle Tribal Council is a dynamic and progressive organization that provides a range of programs and health services to serve the eleven First Nations throughout Southern Saskatchewan within the Treaty Four Territory.  The position will work as part of the All Nations Healing Hospital and Health Services team, based at the All Nations Healing Hospital located in Fort QuAppelle, SK.

Reporting to the Executive Director and/or designate, the Human Resources Manager plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the Human Resource functions for the All Nations Healing Hospital. This position is responsible for providing leadership in employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, labor relations, employee development, and policy development. The Human Resource Manager will work closely with union representatives and manage the unique needs of both unionized and out-of-scope employees, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture. The HR Manager will also generate reports, analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decision making, and present HR related data to senior leadership and provide recommendations for improvements.

- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or equivalent designation is preferred
- 3 years in a managerial role in a unionized environment
- Experience in healthcare or a related industry is an asset
- Sound knowledge of labor laws, employment standards, and collective bargaining processes
- Proven ability to work effectively with unions and manage labor relations
- Sound knowledge and experience in the interpretation of collective agreements
- Demonstrated conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
-Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work within First Nations Traditional and Spiritual Institutes
- Valid class 5 license
