The role of the Post Majority Care Navigator is to support and assist First Nation youth up to and including 25 years of age who are aging out or who have aged out of the Child & Family Services system. The candidate will support by identifying current need and resources to help transition into adulthood. The Navigator will provide assistance to identify and build resources/services, develop plans and report on processes/standards to ensure positive outcomes and a smooth transition of services with respect to applicable Post Majority Support Services terms and conditions and other legislation, regulations and policies and procedures. The Navigator will be required to collaborate with other departments and teams internal and external to Muskeg Lake Cree Nation to achieve the objectives of the project. The Navigator will be working in collaboration and be supervised by the Post Majority Care Coordinator. As needed the Navigator will provide support to the class action lawsuit for children in care.
