You will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to learn the skills necessary for repairing vehicles that have been damaged in accidents. This role involves hands-on training in various aspects of collision repair, including metalwork, painting, and detailing.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with Repairs:
Help experienced technicians in disassembling and reassembling vehicles.
Assist in replacing and repairing damaged parts, such as body panels, bumpers, and frames.
Learning Techniques:
Gain knowledge in different repair methods, including welding, body filler application, and sanding.
Learn to use specialized tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Preparation Work:
Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces.
Assist in mixing paint and applying finishes according to specifications.
Quality Control:
Participate in inspections of repaired vehicles to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Assist in keeping work areas clean and organized.
Customer Service:
Communicate with customers and team members to understand repair needs and progress.
