FULL-TIME SUPERVISING CLERK CASHIER/PRODUCE CLERK
Days/Evenings/Weekends
DUTIES:
To operate cash register.
To maintain stocks in all areas of the Food/Produce Department in clean, orderly merchandise
displays.
o To service customers and supply product information in the Food/Produce Department.
o To maintain, at all times, a diplomatic and friendly atmosphere with members, customers and fellow
workers.
o To perform housekeeping duties which consist of:
o Cleaning work areas, shelves, display cases, etc.
o Dusting of merchandise, etc.
o Keeping all areas free from refuse and obstruction.
o To participate in staff training programs and staff activities which tend to broaden the understanding
of the principles and functions of Co-operatives.
o To assist in product ordering and at the check-out counter to perform carryout services.
o To be constantly alert towards unauthorized removal of merchandise.
QUALIFICATION:
Previous experience in similar department desirable.
o As fresh, live product must be displayed with full colour co-ordination; to achieve maximum
sales volume, an artistic flair is a definite asset.
o Must be physically capable to handle heavy lifting as is required.
o Mature attitude with ability to work with minimum supervision.
