Description

G W Philipchuk Acres Ltd farming operation is located near Kamsack, SK (NW-27-28-32-W1). They currently have a vacancy for a Farm Equipment Operator to join their team. They are looking for an experienced modern farm machine operator, with 2 to 3 years of related agricultural experience.

Responsibilities:  
Operating various types of farm machinery, such as tractors, combines, plows, and harvesters.
Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
Preparing fields for planting by plowing, harrowing, and applying fertilizers or pesticides.
Assisting with seeding, spraying and harvesting.
Keeping an eye on the performance of equipment and making adjustments as needed to ensure efficient operation.
Following safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Assisting with other farm-related tasks as needed.

Skills:
Ability to operate and handle various types of farm equipment and machinery.
Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair of equipment to ensure smooth operation.
Understanding of farming techniques, soil preparation, and crop management.
Quick thinking and problem-solving skills to address any issues with machinery or farming processes.
Keen observation skills to monitor equipment performance and field conditions.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

Requirements:
Fluency in English to ensure that operator can follow technical manuals, safety guidelines, and communicate any issues or updates promptly and accurately.
Prior experience in operating modern, high tech, farm machinery and equipment.
A valid drives license.
Completion of High school diploma or equivalent.
