First Nation Representative Services is to support Muskoday First Nation's children, youth, young adults, and families that are involved or at risk of involvement with the child and family services system. This position is critically important to protect the collective best interests of our membership in the above-mentioned demographics, and to ensure a culturally appropriate representation of the case and youth are respected within the child and family services system. The representative will ensure all notifications from the Child Welfare Agencies are responded to and addressed within the mandated time frame.

PRINCIPLES
The holistic well-being of First Nations children, youth and families creates the foundation for healthy First Nations communities and future generations.
Work location: Muskoday First Nation is located twenty-five kilometers southeast on Hwy #3, from Prince Albert Saskatchewan
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of Bill C92. exercising the rights and responsibilities of the First Nation under provincial, territorial, and federal child and family services laws.
Knowledge of new developments within the Child Welfare sector regarding Indigenous families and children.
Knowledge of Timiskaming First Nation (TFN) services, programs and culture, and relevant challenges and issues affecting First Nations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
BSW and/or College Diploma in Social Work/Law Clerk/Child and Youth Worker or related field.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
Three (3) year drivers abstract before commencement.
Willing to work flexible hours and travel with minimal notice.
Must provide a Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Check before commencement
