About the position: Working 7.5-hour shifts, overtime maybe required. The CHR aims to empower community members to make healthy decisions, through demonstrating, teaching and providing support and encouragement with a focus on addressing health needs of the community
Duties:
Assisting health staff in delivery of health care services and contributing to the health team through health advocacy, health promotion and illness prevention;
Act as a liaison between community members and LLRIBHS staff and health programs;
Assist in the delivery of health programs by obtaining consents, transporting community members, booking Child Health Clinics, participating in community health fairs, events and activities;
Carry out health promotion programs by planning workshops, in-service sessions, community education events and developing public awareness materials;
Qualifications: Suitable candidates will have a minimum Grade 12; Community Health Representative certificate or related health care certificate; Combination of Education and Experience may be considered; Basic computer skills; Certified First Aide & CPR and Safe Food Handling Certificate required or willing to obtain.
