Reporting to the Manager, Engineering, the Senior Engineer, Mechanical & Piping is responsible for managing timely and fit-for-purpose discipline-specific engineering services to projects and programs by planning and mobilizing best value technical capability, while leading a small team of Mechanical and Piping Engineers. This position is expected to lead and provide strategies for the mechanical and piping disciplines and subsequently how it functions within KSPC Projects, Maintenance, and Production teams. The Senior Engineer, Mechanical & Piping supports FEL design and detailed design on equipment, mechanical and piping technical issues, complete design of capital projects, coordinate interfaces between internal technical interfaces and external technical bodies. The Senior Engineer, Mechanical & Piping will be responsible for driving forward sound and standardized design, construction, and maintenance practices of mechanical assets. -Bachelors degree in Engineering.
-Minimum 10 years experience in a heavy industrial setting, potash experience preferred.
-Minimum 5 years experience project management experience on large multi-year projects.
-Strong team leadership skills including demonstrated facilitation skills.
-P. Eng designation required.
-Proven ability to lead the engineering discipline and manage team of engineers to meet standards and quality requirements.
