Sakewew High School invites applications for a 0.5 teacher position starting November 13, 2024 and continuing until June 27, 2025. The successful candidate will be an energetic and dynamic person who is committed to providing a quality educational experience to First Nation students. The teaching assignment will include mornings in a Grade 9 Classroom, teaching the core subjects English, Math and Science.
Sakewew High School, located in the Battlefords, is a Grade 9 to 12 school with an approximate enrollment of 250 students and 30 staff. We operate on a quadrant system, offering a full academic program that incorporates the knowledge, culture and values of the Treaty Six Territory. Sakewew High School is part of the provincial Following Their Voices Initiative, providing education that promotes accelerated learning for First Nations, Metis and Inuit students where learning is joyful, culture is affirmed and students are given real choice for their future.
