Role and Responsibilities:
The Resort Village of Candle Lake is seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented person to be appointed as a Special Constable/Peace Officer.
Applicants must have a valid class 5 drivers license, must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. and possess general physical aptitude.
Please consider when applying that there will be shift work involved in this position.
Candidates must have a clean drivers abstract. A criminal record check will be required by the successful applicant prior to hiring.
Additional Notes:
    Ability to build and maintain positive professional working relationships and strong interpersonal skills.
    Physically capable of performing a wide variety of physical tasks including lifting to 80 lbs.
    Successful completion of Physical Abilities Evaluation Test (PARE) or the Sheriffs Officer Abilities Test (SOPAT) or the ability to complete the evaluation and pass as per Saskatchewan CPPS.
    Certification or willing to obtain: Baton and OC Spray certification, Radar and EVOC, Heavy Vehicle Weight Certification, Verbal judo for peace officers, I.M.I.M., P.P.C.T., Conflict Resolution, First Aid, and safe use of non-restricted firearms
    Other training as may be required to meeting appointment standards in the Police Act of Saskatchewan to qualify for Special Constable appointment
    Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    Proficient with Mobile Public Safety and Report Exec RMS.
    Current C.P.I.C. clearance or knowledge of C.P.I.C.
    Alcotest FST ASD certification.
    Commercial vehicle and heavy vehicle enforcement training.

Primary Duties:
    Report to and supervised by duty Sergeant.
    Enforcement of assigned provincial, federal, and municipal statute.
    Respond to complaints and inquiries promptly, effectively, and efficiently.
    Liaise with law enforcement personnel, agencies, and other related organizations.
    Court preparation and attendance. First Aid/CPR Certification or willing to obtain
    Administrative functions
