The Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services (YTCCFS) Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic dedicated individual to fill the Term position of Maintenance Worker for the YTCCFS Inc.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for the cultivation and care of landscaping the grounds around the facilities. The Maintenance Worker will also perform general maintenance and repairs inside and around the facilities, as well as other duties as described below. This position will be located on Kahkewistahaw First Nation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Apprenticeship in a recognized trade and 12 months experience OR Grade 12 High School Diploma
Class 5 Drivers License
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have knowledge and experience in minor repairs including drywall, electrical, plumbing, other building/equipment issues. Install/maintain appliances and equipment. Maintain all Yellow Thunderbird Lodge buildings and parking lots. Maintain landscape duties (snow removal, yard work/upkeep, heavy traffic areas). Conduct routine inspections of premises/buildings/equipment
Consult with Administration Manager regarding all major repairs requiring contracted services
Perform maintenance tasks provided through the proper communication procedures. Focus on environmental issues in keeping with a safe work environment. Provide the means to improve the operating efficiency of all Yellow Thunderbird Lodge facilities. Must be dependable and reliable, prompt and efficient in completing tasks. Valid Drivers License and possess a reliable vehicle.
Good communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to read technical manuals/blueprints/drawings. Physical stamina and dexterity.
Must be willing to upgrade skills when time and funding permits.
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
Must adhere to and maintain company policies, safety regulations and OHS requirements
Must be able to sign an Oath of Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement
